There are many ways that you can help us in our fundraising and some are listed here.
Street / Supermarket / House to house collections
Street Collections can be arranged with permission and permits obtained from your local District Council. Collections at the front of Supermarkets are at the discretion of the local supermarket manager or in the case of Tesco Stores from a central office. Details of how to arrange these, promotional literature and collecting boxes are available from our office.
Jumble Sales / Car Boot sales - Get your friends and neighbours to turn out their unwanted goods and spend a fun morning or afternoon with a stall at a local Jumble or Car Boot sale.
School or local Fetes - Arrange a stall at local events and if necessary share the profits with the school or charity that the event is sponsoring.
Arranging a talk / slide show in your vicinity for local Rotary Clubs/Womens Institute/School/Church etc
Direct financial support through Standing Orders
Most people are happy to sponsor the charity as a whole and let us decide where the money is best used whilst some prefer to sponsor an individual project or an individual childs education. Whatever your preference you can download a Standing Order Form for completion but please do not send it direct to your bank as we need to know of its existence so that we can check our bank statements. In addition we like to record your details so that we can put you on our mailing list for you to receive copies of our newsletters. If you are a U.K. taxpayer please consider completing the Gift Aid Form, which allows us to reclaim tax at 28p per pound donated at no extra cost to you. More details on sponsorship can be found on the Sponsorship page.
Sales of Indian Goods - Those of you who have visited Goa will undoubtedly have visited the Anjuna Market.
If you are going to Goa please contact us especially if you are willing to take over a suitcase of second-hand clothes to be distributed to the children and bring back goods from India which we sell at craft fairs etc. The airlines will often allow us excess baggage free of charge and we have an arrangement with the U.K. Customs & Excise for bringing the goods into the U.K.
