About us

Novi Survat is registered with The Charity Commission for England & Wales under the name of Novi Survat Charitable Organisation (Goa). The registered number is 1100768 and full details of the charity, its Trustees, Financial and compliance History etc can be viewed on the Charity Commissions website.

The Charity is managed by four Trustees who approve all aspects of the charities work and financial transactions and the accounts are approved by a Chartered Accountant prior to submission to the Charity Commission.

We are proud to promise that all donations received by the charity go directly to benefit the children with none being used for administrative purposes.

We have no paid staff in the U.K but do pay the local staff in India.

When Trustees visit Goa to ensure that the charity is being run as required they are responsible for payment of their air fares and accommodation and no expenses are paid.

We are indebted to the Chartered Accountant and the web administrator who both provide their services free of charge.

The administration costs, which in the year 2019 – 2020 amounted to £238 (0.7% of total costs), are covered by income from the sale of goods we bring back from India. Even the initial stock was donated.

We operate entirely from donations and a small income from the sale of goods as we receive no government aid either in the UK or India.

We believe that the only way to make poverty history is to educate the young and provide medical aid to those that are in need of, but cannot afford, it. What we do can be found in detail in the Projects section.
